2019 VMAs
The 2019 Video Music Awards were last night and there is a lot to discuss!!! Between Miley’s heartfelt breakup song to Liam, Missy Elliott’s overdue Village Vanguard Award, and Camila and Shawn’s steamy Senorita performance, it was a night worth seeing! But, you already know what we were focused on- the fashion! The VMAs was a hotspot for high fashion celebs like Gigi and Bella Hadid, and we loved seeing all of this years trends making an appearance. Here are some of our favorite looks from on stage to the red carpet.
Let Me Go Singer Hailee Steinfeld rocked the red carpet wearing a red dress! The bold gown was completely mesh with embroidered red flowers strategically placed. Red beads circled the waistline to add shape, and the same bead pattern scooped around her neckline. Her fingers were dripping in diamonds, but she chose simple red satin shoes to keep the look monochromatic. Hailee paired her red hot look with a middle part, minimal eye makeup, and a bright red lip.
Little Nas X, the Old Towne Road star, showed up in… you guessed it, boots! But not just any boots- metallic silver cowboy boots; and we kind of love it. The silver doesn’t stop there either; Lil Nas X also wore completely sequined pants and a sparkly silver jacket. Underneath the jacket was a cream ruffled lace top that added texture, one of this season’s biggest trends. He accessorized with rings on both hands, one diamond earring and one silver snake earring. This look was definitely out of the box, but it incorporated some of our favorite trends and totally fit Little Nas X’s personality!
We HAD to mention Camila Cabello’s performance with boyfriend, Shawn Mendes. We can’t get enough of this couple, and their Senorita performance was everyyyything. Camila’s on stage look was ultra romantic. She wore a completely sheer dress with side cutouts and flowy bell sleeves. Subtle sparkles were all over the dress, and an embellished neck and waistline made her practically glitter under the lights. The loose waves in her hair perfectly finished off the look. Shawn was more understated in a white tank top, black pants with suspenders, and a necklace- but still SO dreamy.
