Last night was the biggest night in television- the Emmy’s! And you know that another awards show means another red carpet. So, after being wowed by some stunning dresses, we have pulled together a couple of our favorite looks and a comeback trend from the Emmy’s! Let’s get started!
If you are on social media, chances are you’ve already heard that Zendaya stole the show. She wore a custom emerald gown from Vera Wang paired with Cartier jewelry. The strapless gown had a mesh bustier up top and a silk skirt with a high slit to show off matching emerald heels. Zendaya’s hair was colored a warm auburn tone and perfectly complimented the look!
Betty Gilpin from the Netflix series GLOW rocked a dress that was out-of-this-world! The navy blue ball gown was covered in gold star-shaped sequins that resembled a night sky. The strapless neckline had unique fringe details, and Betty chose minimalistic hair and makeup to let the Jason Wu designed dress be the STAR of the show!
Now, on to that trend we mentioned earlier. Color-blocking has been gaining popularity lately, and it looks like the Emmy’s just made it the hottest new trend! But not just any color-blocking… red and hot pink!! We’re getting major Valentine vibes from these looks, but we’re here for it! Mandy Moore, Zoe Kazan, and Marisa Tomei were just a few of the lovely ladies spotted in this romantic trend. Also, it’s important to mention that every pink and red combo dress was created by a different designer; that means everyone is in on color-blocking!
