New Year's Resolutions
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Everything is fresh and new, and we’re ready for 2020! A New Year is the perfect time to up your fitness routine, decide to incorporate a healthy diet, start reading that series of books you’ve always wanted to… whatever it is, 2020 is the perfect time to become a better you!! Here are a few tips to make sure your New Year’s Resolutions are a success!
Set reasonable goals- here’s the deal, girl. If you haven’t exercised since that one soccer season freshman year, you may not want to make yourself miserable by promising to run five miles a day! Not that you couldn’t do it (we’re all about girl power), but it would probably be agonizing. Try starting with a half mile run, and increasing your mileage weekly. Setting small short term goals keep you from setting yourself up for failure, and it feels so great when you accomplish them! So start small, and move on to bigger and better things!!
Don’t be so hard on yourself- So you ate that cupcake even though you promised you were leaving sweets in 2019. It’s happened to the best of us. Sometimes the best meaning resolutions aren’t attainable! You surely don’t want to live the rest of your life without cupcakes (we def don’t), so just remember that this was only one slip up. It definitely didn’t ruin your whole year- and there’s always tomorrow!!
Love YOU first- New Year’s Resolutions make it so easy to focus on what we don’t love about ourselves. BUT, that’s not healthy at all! Your resolutions should come from a place of love for yourself and wanting to be a better you!! Instead of deciding to spend less money, say you’ll spend more time with the people you love. Instead of promising to lose weight, decide to lose negativity! Most of all, let your number one resolution for 2020 be more self love!!
